5 Principles That Govern The “Law Of Importance” And Why You Should Care…

by Yo on

5 Principles That Govern The Law Of Importance And Why You Should Care...So chances are you’ve probably heard of “The Secret”… but have you ever heard of the “Law of Importance?”

My guess is probably not

Well the “Law of Importance” was something developed by Woody Woodward (A high school drop out at the age of 16 who went on to become a millionaire at the age of 26) after studying countless stories of people who have overcome amazing challenges and serious adversity yet still have managed to come out on top.

The “Law of Importance” also known as your emotional fingerprint basically states that all human behavior is governed by what makes one feel important – and it consists of 5 main principles.

Before I get into those principles…

I want to share with you what caused “Ninja Grandma”, Mary Louise Zeller (6th degree Black Belt and a Master Instructor in Olympic Sport Taekwondo) to develop her emotional fingerprint.

This was a clip from the movie I-ology which is a documentary based on the law of importance. Oh and BTW… Here are the 5 principles before I get off on a tangent (Happens often) :) :

1. – If  two or more I’s are being met simultaneously, you will have a positive peak in attitude, more so than just a normal day.

Go back and think of time when you just feel like you are on top of the world.  Chances are 2 of your I’s are being met. Your I’s are simply the 5 things that make you feel important.

2. – If two or more I’s are being offended simultaneously, you will have a negative drop in attitude, more so than just a normal day.

Now think of a time when you’ve felt like you just could not get a break – everything just seems to be going wrong. Well it’s safe to say that 2 of your I’s are not being validated or they are being offended.

3. – Subconsciously or consciously you will do anything within your belief system to defend or support your I’s.

Probably the most important of the principles (I’d write this down and make a note of it).  This is what causes people to overcome insurmountable odds because they have a desire of importance that needs to be met.

4. – I’s are created by mind shifts.  Mind shifts are created by drama or trauma.

Throughout your life, the things that make you feel important will change based on dramatic experiences (positive) and traumatic experiences (negative).

5. – You cannot take away an I without replacing it with another I.

If one or more of the things that makes you feel important is dependent on someone else validating it… it’s possible that a one point or another it might have to be replaced – Especially if that person, for whatever reason is no longer in your life.

So here’s why you should care…

… Because you can take over the WORLD! :) (Just kidding) Well, sort of… You’ve heard the quote by Zig Ziglar, “If you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want” right?

So if you know that people have a strong desire to have their “I’s” met… How much more influence do you think you could have, if you could help MORE people fulfill their urge to feel important?

To Prosperity and Abundance,

5 Principles That Govern The Law Of Importance And Why You Should Care...

P.S.  If you enjoyed this post and were inspired by Mary Louise Zeller’s clip… You can get a copy of the I-ology movie and a 26 page workbook to help you better understand what makes you feel important.  I personally enjoyed it more then “The Secret.”  As always, leave your comments below and I’d love if you would share some of the things that make you feel important.

    Hey Yo,

This is a great post! I’ve heard of “The Secret” and the Zig Ziglar quote is one of my favorites but I’ve never heard of “The Law of Importance”? This is awesome.

What the 65 year old grandma did is amazing! To win the Olympics at that age is very inspiring.

I feel “important” when I help someone with their business. It’s a great feeling to bring someone from not knowing to knowing ;)

I love #4! I just had an amazing experience “shifting” and getting rid of some trauma in my life by “tapping” or EFT. I am not an EFT specialist but it totally connects with what you are saying.

Great Video. It so great to see people find what they are passionate about. It gives you something to strive after and it gives you confidence. Thanks for posting this blog

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

Thanks Nick! I really appreciate your feedback my friend.

Passion is what keeps the fire burning and keeps us alive! :)

    Happy Cinco de Mayo!

    Awesome Jessica!

    I don't know much about EFT… but that's what Google's good for right? ;)

I firmly believe that everything is made up of energy and EFT definitely sounds pretty interesting and something I think I would look more into.

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Yo Le,

It's amazing how something so simple can be so powerful and yet so often over looked. I really liked the way you broke these down and presented them. You're so right about Zig Ziglars quote. The law of reciprocity is what the tribe is all about.

EXACTLY Ken! Giving without want my friend.

I'm glad you enjoyed it as well… I was fortunate enough to be at the premier 2 years ago in UT. I got to meet Woody Woodward, Mary Louise Zeller, and bunch of the cast members from the movie.

Thank you for the Great feedback! :)

Thanks for stopping by Susanna and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah, principle 4 is basically the events that shape our life. All events are either positive or negative. There's really no gray area.

You're feedback was much appreciated! :)

  • StuartLDennison

Outstanding information Yo!! You always come with great content my friend, im going to start paying attention to my I's to keep track of whats on and off!!

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    Thanks Stuart!

The movie was definitely eye opening for me. I ending up doing his coaching program as well and really got to dig into the I's.

    Appreciate the feedback my friend.

In all your posts, there is something to learn. Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work.

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

Looks like principle 4 seems to be a hit… That's been the general consensus so far.

The Law of Importance is definitely about getting in the the right mindset and understanding that you really have the power to manifest the things that make you feel important — meaning that it's truly internal and that you shouldn't be dependent on others to validate if for you.

Thanks for stopping by Kyle! :)

Great info Yo Le! When one is experiencing a # 2 day, that is when you simply have to say to self “Do I really want to experience this stress right now?” and make the decision to walk another path that day. Go and find those positive I's to turn things back around. Might be easier said than done in some cases, but you can always hold your head up at the end of the day, and say, I didn't let this beat me today! Thanks again for this great write up!

    Yo,

    Great post brother!

I am off to go check out that accessory link you gave me and do a little more investigating.

I think it's time we all start to leave it on the mat a little more often!

    Hey Yo,

This was great Yo. This has really struck a code in me, I had not heard a reference to this law. I believe that we are all great, we just need to get out of our own way. There is really no one holding us back but ourselves.

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    John,

I left the premier of I-ology saying, “WOW” as well.

There were some amazing stories of people who were faced with extreme adversity and yet they were able to turn the tables in their favor because of what they believed in and what made them feel important.

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    I agree with you brotha!

We shouldn't be leaving this life without leaving it all on the mat.

BTW, did you know that Mary Louise Zeller is a top distributor in her Network Marketing company?

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

I'm very appreciative of your Awesome feedback Steven! ;)

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

Well said my friend. I couldn't of said it any better myself.

It is when we truly understand all power is within and we don't depend on external factors to make us happy or feel important… that life becomes purposeful and driven.

Thank you for dropping by and sharing your words of wisdom Steve! :)

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    Kathy,

We definitely are our worst enemies and hold ourselves back from out ability to become our greatest self.

I'm glad this really resonated with you.

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    Awesome Bill!

I was intrigued as well when I had heard about I-ology and the Law of Importance… so much that I did the LOI coaching program with Woody Woodward himself.

I encourage everyone to atleast check out the movie… it's very well put together.

  • marcusbaker

Awesome post and video Yo Le!

What I liked so much is that she did not let something like age get in the way of her dream. Too often we find reasons why we can't do something rather than focus on all the reasons why we can do it! Brilliant.

    ~Marcus

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    Absolutely Marcus!

There are quite a few other Amazing stories in the movie as well. The “Law of Importance” just makes sense.

I appreciate your feedback my friend and thank you for stopping by.

Oh Wow!! Boy did that hit me!! Powerful!! Thank you for sharing this with me Yo!!

  • miahienovirta

    Hello Yo,
I enjoyed the clip VERY MUCH, to the point when she started to cry, and I was right there with her, crying. So emotional. I get soft and week when it goes right into my heart, and this clip did certainly got right into my heart. Oh my… my family might think I've lost it now…. Hahaha!

I will absolutley get that clip and the work book to it, so I may develop myself. My saying is: “You are never too old to learn new!”

Thank you so much for this post Yo, very enlightening! It really had an emotional impact on me, in a powerful manner.

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

A lot of people said that it's “hit” them too Sandi! :)

Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad that you got some inspiration from it.

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

    That's AWESOME Mia!

I'm SO Glad it that it had a powerful emotional impact on you… So much so that you will continue to come back and come back often! ;)

I was glued to the I-ology video, very emotional and inspirational.
Makes me look back at things that got me discouraged before and now realize how insignificant those those really were.

    Cheers,
    Bert

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

Glad you enjoyed the clip Bert. The rest of the movie is pretty inspiring as well. I actually ended buying 10 of them and gave them out to my team members.

    Hey Yo..

Great post bro. Thanks for sharing that video..
I live by Zig Zgiglar's quote – it's so true, and if more people would actually follow that principle, this world would be a better place..

    talk soon,
    Hector

  • http://meetyole.com Yo Le

Glad you enjoyed the video Hector!

… and I agree with you 100% – we'd live in a pretty ideal world if that were the case.

Too many people out there with an agenda, instead of just trying to serve others… which would totally put the law of reciprocity in their favor.

I appreciate you stopping by my friend.

Interesting post I have never heard of this theory until now. Better than the secret I will have to check it out.

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing story! I am in tears after watching Mary Louise's incredible story of courage and personal triumph (plus, how can I not love a woman who shares my name?? :)

Like so many other people who have left comments here for you, this is my first introduction to the concept of the Law of Importance. I am intrigued with it and want to learn more. The overview you share here has me wanting to dive further into what this means and also to find out my own emotional fingerprint.

I so grateful that the Tribe has led me to discover people like you! Your blog is incredible…so full of excellent content and positive energy. I look forward to reading lots of your posts!

    Have a wonderful day,

That was an amazing clip Yo. So inspiring and encouraging. She did not quit when she lost, She did not back down when people saud she was crazy and she certainly didn't care what anyone else thought. Everyone has that spirit within them and overcome the odds like Mary Louise. “Leave it on the mat” Yo. Thank you
